Hello all! My name is Emma Schmidt. I live in Bozeman, Montana and my passions are horses, hunting, rodeo, and photography. I learned to hunt with the help of my father, Don Schmidt, and my sister, Claudia Schmidt, and a few helpful friends along the way. I've been blessed to be able to hunt and harvest many animals with my family. When I am not hunting you can find me in the rodeo arena with my sister and mother, Kim Schmidt. I compete in the barrel racing and team roping. Horses are a big part in my life. I started on horses at a very young age and grew to love the animal. It's a feeling like none other knowing you have the trust and repect from a 1,200 pound horse. These big hearted, strong footed animals have been a large part in the sucesses I've had when hunting. No matter if it's a day ride, or a week long pack trip in the mountains they never quit on us- yet depend on us for safety, food, and to keep them in the best health we can. These creatures have taught me, and are still teaching me many life skills. I thank God for the many blessings He has given me. He makes what I do possible and I am very grateful. Now that I am out of high school I am ready and excited to see what the future holds for me. I wish to pursue a future in rodeo and the hunting industry, both in front and behind the camera.
